If you build a wall around your base, nothing can get in. Depending on where you build 4 walls high is sufficient to keep all predatory dinos out.It's cool man. If uploads are allowed, you can take any tamed dinosaur to an obelisk and 'upload' them. When they're uploaded, they can be downloaded at any obelisk on any other server that allows dino downloads. The catch is, official servers do not allow uploads and downloads (at the moment) but unofficial ones do.This is simple though, a few more settings for the server to allow change with the following: 1 Range of sight on Wild Dinos (Radius number). 2 Wild dinos are aggressive (hunt you within radius) or Neutral (Attack you when seen) setting (On/Off). 3 Number of maximum of Dinos that will come after you per spawn period.

Well depends on normal gameplay. In singleplayer yeah 99 percent of the time you'll never need it. If you set them on wander they will just annoy other players who will either claim them and kill them (PvE) or maybe just kill them (PvP).
